Maureen Fitzgerald

Maureen Fitzgerald graduated in May 2010 and was hired as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Department of Rehabilitation in Berkeley the following September.

My office is located at the Ed Roberts Campus which is a state of the art accessible building housing many different organizations serving people with disabilities. The Rehabilitation Counseling program at San Francisco State was academically challenging, gave me a strong foundation in working with people with a broad scope of disabilities to find work and improve their lives.

Jeff Thomas

I graduated from SFSU with a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling in May 2011.  The Rehabilitation Counseling program at SFSU prepared me well in multiple ways as I continue my education. In August 2011, I began a doctoral program (PhD) in rehabilitation counseling with a specialization in substance abuse and clinical counseling at East Carolina University. I work at ECU in an assistantship position where I am helping start a university-based outpatient clinic for the greater Greenville area, supervise master-level counselors-in-training and co-teaching an introduction to substance abuse class.
